God is so good.
Last night we had a team meeting in which I was talking about how things are running so well this week--much better than last week. I made the comment that last Sunday was the worst night of my life. Justin then said, what about January 9, 2005? Yeah it was the 8th and shut-up. But seriously, last Sunday night and Monday morning were miserable, but ever since then things have been incredible. Smooth sailing, like the title says.
In fact, I don't even really know what to do with myself right now. This is a first. We got internet back up and running so I thought I'd say hello to tateblog. It's been awhile.
My KU friends are here! I love these people. We have quite a force here. It's so good to finally see people amongst these hundreds of college kids that I actually know. This week is great, even though most of my BFFs went over to Pass. Lame. Oh well they come back today and we will be friends.
Jub has been incredibly helpful to my life here. He has a spiritual gift for using Microsoft Excel, so I utilize him often to organize work projects. We're like 80 times more organized since he's been here.
I leave here a week from today. Part of me is so ready to be done, but another part of me will miss this life. It's nothing that could have ever been planned out or set-up in anyway, and there will never be another experience just like this one again. Ever. I'm being dramatic. Ever.
There's this girl here that was telling me the other day about this summer camp or something that runs somewhat like our relief effort that puts kids to work on service projects. I think she was suggesting I check it out. I pretty much told her I don't think I ever want to do anything like this ever again. I mean this has been awesome, but it's not something I would really want to continue doing.
Melissa I wanted to call you Sunday but then I remembered you're in Costa Rica. I miss you roommate.
Emjo. You should have come here. But soon my friend, we will reunite. Tell Nathan I said hi.
Oh wait, I can. Hi Nathan Ashcraft, thanks for stalkingly reading my blog. Also hi maggles. You will all be together soon. Go see my cousins in Boston.
It's gonna take me awhile to remember how to write in tateblog again. I'll get it though. At this point, there's just too much to write about and so little time. Gotta get back to work...(or pretending to work until 5:30 meeting).

a breather
I am just sitting. Sitting and waiting.
Rick Amos designated me to be head of all the service projects this week, and I feel pretty good about it. Well, at least I feel that way today. Who knows how I will feel in two days when I have possibly run out of projects for everyone to do.
I just don't really care at this point. There are over 3,000 people here to take care of, so no matter which way I do this, it's gonna be mass chaos.
Embrace it and let it go.
I'll be stressed tonight. And tomorrow. And probably the whole week. But at least I've escaped from Army Camp and live back at the good ole warehouse.
But I live by these 3 exciting facts...
1. God is in complete control, and I can only do in one day what He enables me to do.
2. Justin Hume is coming here tomorrow and staying until I leave. Praise the Lord for Jub. He will help keep me sane.
3. KU gets here in 6 days!! That means Jen and Dani and David and Alan and Nathan and maybe Steven and...I don't know who else, but I could not be more excited.
All I have to do is get through this week, and life will be so da bomb. Last week was weird and hectic and dramatic, and this week is pretty much just insanely chaotic. Next week will be heavenly.
I think I might get to go eat Wendy's today.

brief picture break
This will be lots of pictures of me, in case you forgot what I look like, and because they're sweet.
This is what I wish I was doing right now. I'm tired. Always. The other day I read that stress causes you to be tired. Yeah, that and my lack of sleep. This is an artistic picture Caitlin took back in the warehouse days. Those days are long gone...
Speaking of my boo Caitlin, that's her and me in Pass Christian. She's pretty sweet. We're gonna become BFF this week being trapped in FEMA army camp.
By the way, yesterday Cait and I checked in 500 students. Yeah, the two of us. It was out of control. Things are a little slower today, but I'm actually just putting off some work I need to do. But I need a break, okay?
This is me getting ready to go destroy a house. I mostly do office/logistical stuff, so when I gut a house I go crazy. But only for like 10 minutes and then I chill out. Just releasing everything, you know.
Oh wait that's not me. But that guy looks a little crazy with that little roofing tool. He da bomb.
And this picture displays how I feel most of the time. AHHH! But I'll live.
I gotta go back to work now, I hope you've enjoyed this picture display.

One word: Overwhelming.
Tateblog. I miss this.
My life is chaotic. It's busy all the time. Next week we have almost 1300 students coming. The week after that...
probably 3000.
Sick.
Imagine DCC. Only bigger. But instead of like all those MO State kids running registration and all those staff that have been planning the program for the entire year, it's me and seven other people.
Awesome. God's gonna show His power, that's for sure.
On that note, I need to go hang out and finish laundry and go to bed before it all starts again tomorrow.
I love you. KU spring break is in 2 weeks!! AHHH! I'm so pumped.
Good night loves.
